Miss Contestant Information

On behalf of the Miss Atlanta Board of Directors we are pleased to announce information regarding our upcoming pageant. The winners will represent our great city and compete for the title of Miss Georgia at the Miss Georgia Pageant in June of 2016. The winner of the Miss Georgia Pageant will represent our state at the Miss America pageant.ELIGIBILITY FOR COMPETITION:One must be:

  • a female between the ages of 17-24
  • a high school graduate before June 1, 2016
  • no older than 24 years of age before December 31, 2016
  • a permanent resident for a least 6 months prior to the date of the pageant,
    and either live or work-full time, or be a full-time student in: Baldwin, Banks, Barrow, Bartow, Bibb, Butts, Carroll, Chattooga, Cherokee, Clarke, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Crawford, Dawson, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Floyd, Forsyth, Fulton, Gilmer, Gordon, Green, Gwinnett, Habersham, Hall, Haralson, Harris, Heard, Henry, Jackson, Jasper, Jones, Lamar, Lumpkin, Meriwether, Morgan, Muscogee, Newton, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Paulding, Peach, Pickens, Pike, Poke, Putnam, Rabun, Rockdale, Spalding, Stephens, Troup, Walton, White, and Upson


Saturday, AUGUST 29
7:00 P.M. at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center - 950 Forest Street – Roswell, GA 30075

There will be no formal orientation meeting with contestants.

The Contestants’ Mandatory Dress Rehearsal for Miss Atlanta will be held on Friday evening, August 28 from 5:00 P.M. until completion at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, Roswell, GA. 

Please plan accordingly as traffic can be congested during this time. 

You must use the required forms listed below. If the contestant is under the age of 18 the forms will need a parents signature.   Links to these forms and examples of a completed resume and essay are located at the bottom of this page.

6. CMN CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK donation (all dontations/fees will be verified by the ED.  Failure to meet this requirement, will bar you from competition)


Talent song selection is reserved when a contestants Application is received.  In the event that two contestants select the same song/music, the first contestant to have submitted her completed Contestant Application will be allowed to use the selection.  
The scoring is as follows:
Private Interview 25%, Talent 35%, Swimsuit 15%, OnStage Question 5%, Eveningwear 20%

Each Contestant will have a private 10 minute interview with the judge’s.  Contestants will be asked a series of questions from the judging panel.  The questions could range from personal interest, information from your resume, your platform, what’s going on in the world today, to anything in between. At the end of the interview, you will be given an opportunity for a 30 second closing. 


TIME LENGTH CANNOT EXCEED 90 SECONDS, NO EXCEPTIONS.   Talent will be timed on Friday night at rehearsal.

Contestants will be judged on their response to one question related to her platform.

Swimsuit must be in good taste and can be a one or two piece.

Swimsuits will be approved at the Friday night rehearsal.

Evening Gown must be in good taste and is of contestants own choosing.
